In June, in conjunction with the EuroPride in Rome, Italy, a conference was organised under the title "Europe 2020: Inclusive Growth and Equal Rights: Sexual orientation and Gender Identity: Trade Union Bargaining for Equality". In July, 2011, in conjunction with the EI Congress, the third meeting of EI/PSI LGBT Forum took place, in Cape Town, South Africa. The two-day Forum meeting started on Nelson Mandela's birthday, July 18th. More participant than ever before were present, 150, including representatives from 15 African countries. However, there was not much interaction, since most of the meeting was organised as plenary sessions.
