Hiroyuki Taniguchi


Dr. Hiroyuki Taniguchi is an associate professor of international law and gender legislation at the Takaoka University of Law. He received his LL.M. and Ph.D. from the Chuo University.
He was a post-doctoral research fellow with the Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science at Gakushuin University, and was a research associate at the Waseda University Institute for Comparative Law.
Hiroyuki Taniguchi was an editor of the Case Book on Sexual Minorities (Shinan-sha, 2011, in Japanese) and numerous articles in books and law journals. He is also founder of the Japanese Associate for Queer Studies and the website on the Japanese partnership law.
Currently, he is completing a book about international human rights legislation on sexuality issues.
